Nothing surprises me anymore

With this sentence, project manager Berry van Nunen exemplifies the extremely high requirements of the exclusive yacht and villa construction industries.

The seemingly impossible made possible

Berry shares: “We work for the uber wealthy. Clients in our industry demand finer than the finest and expect better than best. They pay accordingly. And, in my opinion, that entitles them to expect a high level of quality and service.”

Berry (54) has been around for quite a while at Stone Natural Class. While currently working as a project manager, he brings hands-on experience to the table as well. Once upon a time he won the world championship tiling. Additionally, he knows the natural stone trade inside out. Which makes him highly valued as project manager.

“When I graduated secondary school, the one and only thing I wanted, was to become a tiler. The best one ever. I made that happen. After that, I widened my scope and found new challenges. I love my work.”

My motto is ‘Even if it is seemingly impossible, I can make it happen’. The more complicated the assignment, the more I am in my zone.

Everything needs to be perfect

“The level of complexity and detail needed for processing, and installing natural stone make me feel right at home. Our company specializes in creating unique products for high-end clients. The products we craft are used in superyachts and exclusive mansions. We only ever create one of a kind items. Either the design, the choice of stone, the finishing, or a combination of these makes it unique. We use precious materials and the majority of what we deliver has been crafted traditionally. We can’t afford to make mistakes. Everything that leaves the building needs to be perfect. That requires planning, notion, an eye for detail and an agile mindset.

Resonating with clients

Berry explains: “In my job, it is important to resonate with clients. We share the same goals, and that requires mutual understanding. A sound working relation gets us half way there. I’m proud to share that I have excellent working relationships with all of our clients. I get to know the needs of the clients and the product deeply. And I am solution oriented. Our clients appreciate that.”

Cherry on the cake

“Relations of Stone Natural Class expect the very best. Our clients appreciate my input. Because our clients are spread around the world, I regularly get to board an airplane to travel to exotic destinations. A yacht anchored in the Caribbean, a luxury resort on an idyllic island. But for eight days at most… and then I will return to Brabant. Our boys oftentimes stay longer, weeks at time even. They do fine without me around. At Stone Natural Class, we only ever work with true professionals.”
